The Last Samurai

Bambusero provided props for the Warner Bros Movie, The Last Samurai.

A good view of the small flag poles on the backs of the Samurai armour

They ordered many hundred of these, as due to the nature of the battle scenes, they expected many breakages

Above and below, you can see the first prototypes in my garden. It was very difficult to make a strong L shaped joint. And even more difficult to churn out hundreds.

It took quite a bit of work to harvest the bamboo for the large flag poles, which in the movie are used around the Samurai camps. I want to thank John and Janet Rogers for their help and use of their groves.

Ready for pick up , to be taken down to the Warner Bros. workshops in New Plymouth.
