Bambusero installed cladding,lighting and other bamboo details at the new Sumatran tiger and Asian otter enclosures at Auckland Zoo.
Much of the tiger and otter enclosures were built with stud and ply walls, which I then clad in split bamboo. Some of the top was staggered, and the balcony viewing area was also lined with the split bamboo canes.
I created this towering archway to provide a focal point and an obvious entrance to the otter viewing area.
The glass balustrade around the otter area was capped with this bamboo capping developed especially for this job. It can be made up for any width glass and in lengths of up to 5m.
